Two special trains between Patna and Bangalore


The East Central Railway (ECR) has decided to run two special trains for examinees from Darbhanga and Patna for Bangalore on May 4 and 5 respectively. These special trains are being introduced to clear the rush of examinees who are going to Bangalore to appear at the pre-engineering examinations being conducted in Karnataka.
According to ECR CPRO Dilip Kumar, the Darbhanga-Bangalore special train (05287-05288) will leave Darbhanga at 6.40 am on May 4 (Wednesday). It will reach Patna Junction the same day at 12.15 pm. However, it will reach Yashwantpur (Bangalore) on Friday at 2.30 pm. It will have the load combination of about 22 bogies, including AC-3, sleeper, general and brake vans, he said, adding the train will return from Yashwantpur on Friday night at 11.30 pm for Darbhanga.
The CPRO said that another special train (03285-03286) will leave Patna Junction on May 5 (Thursday) for Yashwantpur. It will have the load combination of about 23 bogies, including AC-2, AC-3, sleeper, general and brake vans. It will leave Patna Junction at 12.15 pm on Thursday reaching Yashwantpur on Saturday. On its return journey, it will leave Yashwantpur on May 9 for Patna Junction, he said, adding the fare will be the same for these two trains as being charged in mail and express trains.
According to sources, railways has started booking of tickets for these two special trains. Efforts are on to provide proper amenities to passengers on running trains including meals and cleanliness, sources said.
