In view to avoid rush in Puri-Haridwar-Puri Kalinga Utkal Express and Visakhapatnam-Amritsar-Visakhapatnam Hirakud Express via Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur, East Coast Railway has decided to augment additional coaches in these two trains on permanent basis by creating additional berths for the benefit of the commuters.
18477/18478 Puri-Haridwar-Puri Kalinga Utkal Express will be augmented with Two Sleeper Class Coaches w.e.f. 25th September 2012 from Puri and w.e.f. 28th September 2012 from Haridwar. on permanent augmentation, this train will run with 12 Sleeper Class, One AC-2 tier, Two AC-3 tiers, Three General Second Class Coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and One Pantry Car in its composition.
18507/18508 Visakhapatnam-Amritsar-Visakhapatnam Hirakud Express via Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur will be augmented with One Sleeper Class Coach w.e.f. 27th September 2012 from Visakhapatnam and w.e.f. 30th September 2012 from Amritsar. on permanent augmentation, this train will run with One AC-2 tier, One AC-3 tier, 10 Sleeper Class, Five General Second Class Coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans, One Pantry Car and One Parcel Van in it’s composition.
