Train services on the newly converted broad gauge section of Tirunelveli–Tenkasi would commence on Friday. While three services would commence on Friday, the fourth one would commence on Saturday, a railway statement said.
Train No. 56797 Tirunelveli-Sengottah Passenger would leave Tirunelveli at 9.30 a.m. and arrive Tenkasi at 11.03 a.m. It would leave Tenkasi at 11.05 a.m. and reach Sengottah at 11.45 a.m.
Train No. 56799 Tirunelveli-Sengottah Passenger would leave Tirunelveli at 6.20 p.m. and arrive Tenkasi at 7.43 p.m. After a two-minute halt, it would depart from Tenkasi and reach Sengottah at 8.35 p.m. Train No. 56798 Sengottah-Tirunelveli Passenger would leave Sengottah at 3.15 p.m and arrive Tenkasi at 3.26 p.m. It would leave Tenkasi at 3.28 p.m. and reach Tirunelveli at 5.30 p.m.
Train No. 56796 Sengottah-Tirunelveli Passenger would commence its regular service from Sengottah on Saturday. It would leave Sengottah at 6.30 a.m. arrive Tenkasi at 6.41 a.m. leave Tenkasi at 6.43 a.m. and reach Tirunelveli at 8.45 a.m.
The above passenger trains would stop at Tirunelveli Town, Pettai, Cheranmahadevi, Karaikkurichchi Halt, Veeravanallur, Kallidaikurichi, Ambasamudram, Kizha Ambur, Azhwarkurichi, Ravanasamudram, Kilakadaiyam, Mettur, Pavurchathiram, Kizhapuliyur and Tenkasi Junction.
